Two eminent personalities of Bangladesh Professor Emeritus Dr. Anisuzzaman and Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan, have been awarded with Mobasher Ali Gold Medla-2016 for their life long relentless effort and priceless contributions toward country’s higher education system.

Dr. Anisuzzaman the eminent researcher and educationist, has been educating students for years. He is also a renowned literary critic, a writer and an eminent intellectual. On the other hand, Dr. Abdul Mannan is also a recognized educationist and he has been working in the reformation of higher education system of Bangladesh and he has been playing the role of the chairman of University Grant Commission. Both of them were considered for this most prestigious honor for their life long contributions in a nut shell.

They award function was chaired by Dr. Mashiur Rahman, Economic Adviser of the Honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh. The program was organized by World University Bangladesh and took place in Green Road, World University premise. Among other dignitaries, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of World University of Bangladesh, presided the Program. Prof. Dr. Yasmin Aara Lekha , Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Unttar University was Special Guest and Dr. Abdul Wahab, Former Director of Bangla Academy was Guest of Honour. Prof.Dr.Milton Biswas , Dept. of Bengali ,Jagananth University were the main discussant in the award program.

Poet and Journalist Sourav Jahangir who is the President of Mobasher Ali Foundation gave welcome address. Novelist Fahmin Afroz also spoke in this occasion.
